New LANCO ARZ Tent Boosts Hurricane Readiness in Florida

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in Florida recently took a big step forward in emergency preparedness, thanks to a $38,052 (USD) grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The grant funded the purchase of a LANCO ARZ inflatable tent, along with an insulation liner, climate control system, and lighting, critical equipment designed to protect deputies during hurricane deployments and other emergencies.

To celebrate the grant and present the new tent, a special ceremony was held at Firehouse Subs in Titusville. Representing LANCO, our U.S. Sales Representative, Daemon Hobbs, attended with a demonstration unit of the ARZ tent so guests could see the product in action.

The ARZ inflatable tent stands out for its speed and simplicity. Unlike older tents that require six people and hours of work, the ARZ can be assembled by just two people in a matter of minutes, thanks to its fully inflatable frame and modular design. This means the Sheriff’s Office can respond faster and provide safe, comfortable accommodation for deputies during hurricanes or other critical events.

The acquisition of the ARZ tent allows the sheriff, deputies, and other county first responders to rest and recover in a climate-controlled environment during operations such as post-hurricane response. Instead of sleeping in official vehicles or improvised conditions, they can reduce travel time and safely continue their life-saving efforts.

Made from flame-retardant, UV-resistant materials, the ARZ inflatable tent is built for tough conditions and can be used not only as a billeting tent but also for triage, first aid, or command posts in the field.

We’re grateful to Firehouse Subs for their continued support of first responders and honoured to be part of a project that helps protect those who protect us.
