LANCO at INTERSCHUTZ 2026: inside our booth in Hanover

LANCO at INTERSCHUTZ 2026: inside our booth in Hanover

INTERSCHUTZ comes around once every 4 years and is the world’s leading trade fair for the fire and rescue services, civil protection, safety and security. For us, it’s also home. LANCO Group is headquartered right here in Hanover, so this global event happens on our street.

This June, LANCO brought a large aluminium hangar to Hanover. The kind of hangar you deploy to an incident site, except we assembled it in a convention hall, in only 2 days, before 140,000 visitors from 144 countries would walk through the doors of INTERSCHUTZ.

The structure on display

The aluminium hangar (10.2 metres long, 8.4 metres wide, 5 metres high) formed the outer shell of our booth. Inside it, we set up an RDT S18 exoskeleton tent at 3.4 metres high, connected to an RES 18 tent which was 2.6 metres high. Two tent systems, linked together, inside a hangar. All of it live for visitors to see and walk inside.

Our assembly team spent 2 days making sure everything held up under show conditions. Fire and rescue professionals were able to see exactly how the systems connect and what these solutions look and feel like at operational scale.

What was inside

Beyond the structures, we brought the accessories that turn a shelter into a working operational base: HVAC units, heaters, the new bunk beds (which work individually or stacked together), folding beds, bluLEU lighting systems and water purification solutions. Every component was there to handle, not just read about in a spec sheet.

Ready to answer every question visitors had, our CEO Nicolas Abé was joined at the stand by our colleagues: the bluLEU team (Frank Blume, Christian Möller and Jörg Penzold), our sales duo (Sybille Schmidthammer and Udo Herlitze), our Business Intelligence specialist (Maximilian Abé) and our intern (Theresa Abé).

LANCO tents spotted with the German Red Cross

At the show, we also spotted the German Red Cross field hospital display. We noticed the tents in that setup were LANCO-manufactured.

Seeing our shelters in active use by one of Europe’s largest humanitarian organisations, on the floor of the world’s leading fire and rescue trade fair, wasn’t something we planned. It was just good to see.
